Chapter 13: Two very nice monsters.

Oaklords During my time living in Andruk, I found out two very nice monsters living close by. One of them is the large oak lord. This monster resembles much a small angry tree that would do anything in his power to destroy you. Many of my friends tried their fate against this creature but they all came back to the city at the bindstone. After a lot of thought I devised a cunning way to make these monsters my staple. I used to wear chain metal armor and apply acid protection on myself. Then I would go and fight these lords around trees. By time I fine tuned my approach and would kill a lot of them every night. These monsters gave me a lot of timber, wood and other herbs. They did not give me any gold coins however but it was fine for me as I was getting tons of materials out of them.

the fortress of arthains The second most favorite monsters near Andruk were Arthain creatures that live on the mountains South West. Their fort was very close by and the place was rarely visited by other people. I used to kill a lot of them but you need to do surgical attacks. I used to make them follow me around a corner or a house, and then kill them one by one. If you get into the open space and 4 of them get on you they will most probably kill you. These monsters used to give me the coin I needed to buy my everyday's needs and pimp up my crafting.

By this time I was forging great metal armor pieces and my skill was specialising! I was very much self sufficient, while also able to pay my weekly taxes to the family. Sometimes I used to get a bit into the magic but only for the self blessings. Maybe I was never meant to become a mage after all.
