Chapter 3: The gathering.

darkfall mining I needed to grab some materials and I needed tools. A quick visit to my hometown and I bought myself a mining pick and a wood axe. The few gold coins I salvaged from the goblins were gone but I was becoming a miner after all. Soon I would be rich, or so I thought. Finding the stone material was very easy to do. All around there were large rocks popping from the ground. Stone is a hard material to mine and it took several tries to get the amount required. I was exhausted and I couldn't raise the mining pick one more time. I couldn't even run and I was out of breath. I needed to sit on the ground. Next stop would be the trees, and Agon has got a lot of those. Now I was a lumberjack and I was chopping trees like there is no tomorrow. Chop here and chop there, I had a bagful of timber. My quest for Agon's resources was progressing by the second. The only thing that was missing was iron. This material was not common like the previous two. I looked around and searched the town but there was no iron around. Talking to some other persons, they told me to look for the brownish rocks. Ahh I recalled seeing some near the goblins. Oh no not the goblins again please.

goblins title quest Off I went armed with the sword and this time I managed to sort myself a wooden shield as well. The idea was to kill the goblins and mine the iron while other goblins came along. Fighting with the shield in hand proved to be much better. At least a large chunk of the damage was being mitigated by my trusty shield. It took me a lot to mine the required iron, but this time I noticed that goblins were dying more easily and that I was cleverer than them. I was taking cover behind large rocks or trees and my tactic was superior. The Counsellor was pleased with me again. But again he asked me for more favours. Not only this old man was blind, but he had partial dementia because he repeated the same words to me. Out of kindness, I decided to help him again but this would be the last time. He sent me to Anton the Blacksmith.
